This song is a beautiful testimony of God's Word. Psalm One is as fundamental as it is profound to our daily success in this journey with Christ. When I struggle throughout my day I find this psalm quiets me, and allows me to evaluate what's going on inside my mind and my heart. God knows exactly what He's doing, His word is a plow. It finds the rocks and weeds and roots them out. God blessed me with the picture of the Levitical priesthood performing their daily tasks in the courtyard and the temple at the time of writing this song and I thought how fitting it was to draw the parallels of their holy service performing the maintenance of the altar, the bronze basin, the Menorah and the altar of incense and the table of showbread, all pictures of our relationship with Yeshua. We must focus and remember our daily tasks may not be in the temple, but we are the temple. And so we must seek to glorify our Heavenly Father in our thoughts, our passions, our motivations, and even in the mundane tasks we perform, He is there, refining and transforming our character more like His Son, Yeshua our Messiah.
